Are you still worrying about how to collaborate and interact with your students? With the development of technology, it becomes more and more convenient to do that by using some online tools. Tricider is one of the powerful online tools that can help you in many ways.
Introduction
Tricider offers an online platform for users to create polls, surveys and brainstorms in any sessions or classrooms with your colleagues or students. It allows users to do many things like raising a question, gathering suggestions and collecting feedback. It is collaborative and interactive for all users that everyone can show his personal opinions that can be seen by all the others in this platform. You can also vote on other's ideas.
How to use it in classroom
There are a lot things you can do in classroom. I will give you some common activities created in classroom but please do not be constrained by them. Frist, there is no doubt you can use it in a vocabulary lesson, letting students to write specific words. Moreover, this vocabulary lesson can be gamified by telling students to think of anagrams as many as they can. Second, whenever you try to brainstorm ideas, it would be a great choice to use it. Third, if you want to have a debate competition to practice students speaking and listening skills, it can be used for students to vote for or against others' arguments.
Limitations
There are a lot of limitations you may face when using it, but I think the most important point you must be aware of is that it's hard to have every student involved since you can't supervise whole process of activities. You have to make sure everyone is willing and encouraged to participate in your lesson and enjoy the game.
